Pedestrian run over by two cars outside Qld shopping centre

A MAN is in hospital in a serious condition after being run over by two cars outside a shopping centre north of Brisbane.

The man, aged in his 30s, was walking hit pushbike across Anzac Avenue at the intersection with the entrance to Kallangur Fair Shopping Centre around 8.30pm on Saturday when he was struck.

Police said the man crossed the road against a red light and was struck by a black sedan. He was then run over by an SUV.

The driver of the SUV stopped and rendered assistance to the man and provided details to police, however, the black sedan failed to stop.

The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he remains this morning in a serious condition.

Police are now appealing for the driver of the sedan to come forward.

“(we) are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident or has dash cam vision of the area at the time to contact Crimestoppers if they have relevant vision,” police said in a statement.
