Pedestrians set upon, stabbed while walking home

TWO men have been set upon and stabbed in a frenzied attack while walking home from a party on the NSW Central Coast.

The men, aged 25 and 26, were attacked on Kallaroo Avenue in San Remo on Friday night, police said.

It’s understood they were walking along Emu Drive with a third man after leaving a party when a grey Mazda stopped nearby.

Police said two men jumped out of the Mazda and attacked the trio, stabbing two of them in the torso.

The victims were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital.

Police said the offenders jumped back in the Mazda immediately after the stabbing and fled the scene.

Detectives are still trying to locate the offenders and the grey Mazda, which is believed to have been driven by a woman.

Anyone with information that could assist police with their investigation is urged to come forward.
