‘Perfect Stranger’ praised for helping Australian woman injured in Nice

A stranger is being praised after he helped rescue a young Australian woman injured in the horror Nice truck attack.

Speaking outside a hospital in Nice, a family friend of the 22-year-old injured Sydney woman said the man was a ‘perfect stranger’.

“I believe a complete stranger stayed with her in the initial stages after she was injured and then he went in the ambulance,” she said.


“Bless him, he’s been at the hospital most days since.”

“A french man – perfect stranger.”

The 22-year-old woman was injured when Tunisian Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel drove a truck into the Promenade des Anglais, killing more than 80.

She remains in hospital undergoing treatment.

Nice held a minutes silence at the scene of the deadly attack overnight, honouring the victims who lost their lives.
