LATEST @ 2.00 PM | A man has died after being struck by a crane at a business on the northern Gold Coast.
The horror accident happened at a location on Stapylton Jacobs Well Road at Stapylton just after 12.30pm on Thursday.
A number of emergency crews, including critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit, rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a man aged in his 40s suffering critical ‘crush injuries’.
Despite their desperate attempts to save him, the man could not be revived and died at the scene.
Workplace Health and Safety is investigating.
EARLIER @ 1.00 PM | Emergency crews have rushed to the scene of a serious workplace accident on the northern Gold Coast this afternoon.
The accident, involving a crane and a pedestrian, occurred on Stapylton Jacobs Well Road at Stapylton around 12.30pm on Thursday.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC critical care paramedics and the high acuity response unit are treating a man at the scene.
He is in a critical condition, however his exact injuries could not be confirmed.
Initial reports suggest he may have been run over by the heavy machinery.
