Pervert allegedly stalked woman before indecently assaulting her, police say

A MAN has been arrested and charged, accused of masturbating next to a woman on a train in Sydney’s north-west before stalking her down and indecently assaulting her.

Police said the 21-year-old man boarded a train at Blacktown shortly after 10pm on Friday, 23 September, and allegedly started masturbating while seated next to a 40-year-old woman.

The woman moved away from the man and, at around 10.30pm, she got off the train at East Richmond Railway Station.

Police said the 21-year-old man also got off the train at the same station and followed the woman.

While walking along Windsor Street, the man allegedly grabbed the woman from behind and indecently assaulted her before running away.

The woman reported the assault to detectives who yesterday arrested the 21-year-old man at Penrith Railway Station.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with assault with act of indecency, commit act of indecency with person 16 years or over, and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on 24 October.
