Pervert on the run after committing ‘act of indecency’ in front of children

Police are on the hunt for a man who is alleged to have committed an act of indecency in front of a group of children two days in a row.

The first incident occurred about 4.40pm on Sunday, when the children were walking along a bike track in Strathfield South.

Police said the youngsters noticed a man leaning against a fence. He then spoke to the children and committed an act of indecency, forcing the kids to run home.

The following day, around the same time, the children were walking near the canal in Barks Hut Reserve, when they noticed a man hiding in the bushes.

Police said the children recognised the man from the day before and they ran to a nearby house where the parents and police were contacted.

Police are now searching for a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being aged in his mid 30s, about 170cm tall with a dark complexion and a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap and a black shirt with an orange logo.
