Photographers capture Gold Coast water spouts

PHOTOGRAPHERS have captured the moment three giant water spouts formed off the Gold Coast this morning.

It’s understood a line of storm activity sitting just a few kilometres off shore whipped up the weather phenomenon.

Surf photographer Carlin O’Driscoll from O’Ds Surf Photography first noticed the spectacle from Currumbin around 8am.

Glen Anderson also caught one of the water spouts on his camera. He posted his image to more than 225,000 Facebook Fans on Higgins Storm Chasing.
