Pimpama man accused of burglary, firearm and drug charges
Police charged a Gold Coast man following a call to an address in Mount Warren Park on Sunday afternoon.
A 26-year-old Pimpama man has been charged with  burglary, going armed to cause fear, possessing explosives, possessing a knife in a public place, unlawful possession of shortened firearm in a public place, trespass and possessing dangerous drugs.
Officers were called to an address on Eastwell Court at 3.45pm on Sunday after complaints a man was allegedly shooting a firearm in the back yard and then walked onto the street.
He was restrained by a number of members of the public on Mount Warren Boulevard and police took the man into custody without further incident.
It is alleged that an amount of ammunition, a shotgun and a quantity of drugs were located with the man.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
He’ll front court in Brisbane today.
