A Pimpama resident and their pet dog have had a lucky escape after their home went up in flames this morning.
The blaze erupted at a house on Brampton Court just after 7.30am, forcing the roof of the home to cave in.
A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesperson told myGC the property was “well involved in fire” when four crews arrived on scene.

The blaze was put out by 8.30am, but crews remained on scene dampening down hot spots.
The sole occupant of the home was assessed by paramedics at the scene for a minor leg burn, however she did not require transport to hospital.
The resident’s pooch managed to escape unharmed.
A QFES spokesperson confirmed the Fire Investigation Unit will attend the home today.
