An 18-year-old pizza delivery rider is recovering this morning, after a violent armed robbery in Southport overnight.
He was allegedly hit in the neck with a metal pole, when someone approached him along Woomera Street demanding money around 7.00pm.
He tried to ride off, but was chased by the man who allegedly continued to demand money.

The delivery rider threw what cash he had at the thief before getting away with minor injuries.
Police investigations have since led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Southport man, who’s been charged with armed robbery and stealing.
He’s due to front Southport Magistrates Court today.
