A 1930’S POCKET watch has sold for a record $27 million at an auction in Geneva, Switzerland.
The previous record for a timepiece was $12 million in 1999.
The gold watch was originally made by Patek Philippe for New York banker Henry Graves.

It is the most complicated watch ever made by a watchmaker without the aid of computer.
The auction was held at Geneva lakeside hotel and bidding lasted 15 minutes.
The seller and buyer have chosen to remain anonymous.
