A WOMAN has been arrested and charged after police allegedly found almost 30 grams of ‘ice’ inside her car during a random traffic stop at Berkeley, in Wollongong’s south yesterday.

Police investigating the supply of methylamphetamine in and around the Lake Illawarra area stopped a car on Shearwater Drive just before 11pm.

After speaking with the 35-year-old female driver, officers searched the vehicle and allegedly located just over 28 grams of the destructive drug.

The woman was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where she was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug and the ongoing supply of a prohibited drug.

She was refused bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court today.
