Police appeal after attempted armed robbery at brothel

POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted armed robbery at a brothel in Granville overnight.

About 10.35pm (Tuesday 14 July 2015), police were called after two men, one armed with a knife, entered the premises and demanded money from the manager who refused.

Police arrived and saw a man acting suspiciously outside the brothel, before getting into a Toyota Hilux.


Police attempted to pull over the vehicle however the driver refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. Less than a minute into the pursuit, the Toyota Hilux and a Toyota Camry collided on the M4 at the James Ruse Drive entrance city bound.

No one was injured and the driver of the Hilux ran from the scene.

The Camry needed to be towed from the scene and the Hilux was seized for forensic examination.

Police have made contact with the owner of the Toyota Hilux who purports it was stolen.
