Police appeal after child killed in horror NSW crash

Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a child was killed in a horror crash south of Wagga Wagga yesterday.

About 12.15pm, emergency crews were called to Holbrook Road at Mangoplah following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Police believe a Mitsubishi Triton was travelling northbound on Holbrook Road when it left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries before being taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.

The man’s six-year-old passenger died at the scene.

As investigations continue, police are urging anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash, or who may have dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.
