Police appeal after young girl approached by stranger

Police have issued a warning and are appealing for witnesses after a young girl reported being approached by a man in a car at Coomera.

The 11-year-old was walking along Learning St between 7.55am and 8.25am on Tuesday morning.

The girl was approached by the man who was driving an older silver sedan at the intersection of Carpenter Drive.

The vehicle may have been a Nissan, Mazda or Toyota and had five-star spoke pattern mag wheels.

Police are appealing for the male driver to come forward.

Anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam vision is being urged to contact Police immediately.
