Police appeal after brazen thief steals police vest, ammunition from car

Police are appealing for information after a police officers vest and other equipment was stolen from a locked car in Palm Beach this week.

Police say that sometime between 5pm on July 5 and 6.30am on July 6 an unknown offender has smashed the window of a vehicle belonging to a police officer.

The brazen thief has then removed a police issue load bearing vest which contained capsicum spray, handcuffs, a baton and two Glock magazines with ammunition.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area but failed to locate the items.

Police are urging anyone in possession of the items to contact police immediately or anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
