Police appeal for information after body found in Logan park

DETECTIVES are appealing for information from the public as they continue to investigate the discovery of a woman’s body in Slacks Creek.

Officers and SES crews had been conducting a search for missing woman Simone Rothe when they made the tragic discovery in a creek bed at Timothy Park around 1.00pm on Monday.

A post-mortem examination to determine the identity and cause of death is expected to be conducted in the coming days.


The 44-year-old was last seen leaving a property at Westmoreland Boulevard in Springwood on July 14.

It’s understood the Homicide Squad is assisting with the investigation.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in or around Timothy Park in Slacks Creek between July 14 and July 29 is being urged to contact police.
