Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Kingscliff, south of the border, on Thursday night.
About 7.40pm, police were called to Pearl Street following reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police spoke to a 36-year-old man who was suffering multiple stab wounds.

The man was taken to Tweed Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his hand and face. He is refusing to cooperate with police.
A crime scene in a nearby laneway was assessed by forensic specialists.
Officers attached to Tweed/Byron LAC continue to investigate the incident and are appealing for information.
