Police appeal for witnesses after man found dead in Sydney CBD hotel

Police are appealing for witnesses after the body of a man was discovered at a hotel in Sydney CBD yesterday.

Just before 7am Monday 16 November 2015, police attended a hotel on Kent Street, Sydney, where they located the body of a man inside an apartment.

The man, who has yet to be formally identified, is believed to be aged in his mid-40s.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives from Sydney City Local Area Command, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, have established Strike Force Polock to investigate the death, which is being treated as suspicious.

Initial inquiries indicate the man checked into the hotel on Friday 13 November 2015.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at the weekend and noticed any suspicious activity.
