Police appeal for witnesses after three injured in M1 crash

POLICE are appealing for dash-cam vision after three people, including two kids, were injured in a horror three-car pile up on the Pacific Motorway yesterday.

The nose to tail collision happened in the northbound lanes at Slacks Creek around 3.30pm.

A 17-year-old woman and two children aged 12 and 13, were trapped in their vehicle before emergency crews were able to free them.


The woman received serious injuries and was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, while the two kids were also injured and taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

A 38-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was not seriously injured.

The drivers of the two other vehicles, a 37-year-old man from Slacks Creek and a 35-year-old man from Eagleby, also managed to escape without injury.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash cam vision of the incident to contact police.
