Police appeal for information after Upper Coomera home ransacked in violent ambush

NINE people armed with weapons have stormed an Upper Coomera home, assaulting and robbing a male resident.

The terrifying incident happened just before 9.00pm last night at a house on Denise Drive.

Police said a dark coloured SUV was driven into the garage door, before up to 9 people then entererd the home by breaking open the front door.

“One of the male intruders threatened a 31-year-old male resident and demanded money before punching him in the side of the head,” police said in a statement.

“The other intruders then went through the house and took property before leaving the scene in two vehicles.”

Luckily, the victim was not seriously injured and was treated at the scene.
