The man has been formally identified as 24-year-old Hung Robert Tran from Canley Vale.

Initial inquiries revealed Mr Tran arrived at Jasmine Crescent in his vehicle, a white 2009 model VW Golf GTI, with NSW registration CZZ29Y.

This vehicle has not been located, and detectives believe it was stolen from the location shortly after the murder.

If sighted, members of the public are urged not to approach the vehicle, but contact Triple Zero immediately.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information that may assist police with their inquiries is urged to come forward.
