Police have arrested a 24-year-old man after stopping his car for a random breath test in the Shoalhaven. They seized a gun and drugs after searching his vehicle. He also had knives taped to his body.
At around 12:30am, they stopped the maroon Hyundai excel sedan as part of Operation Slow Down on the Princes Highway at South Nowra.
The man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with several offences including weapon, drug and traffic.

He has been refused bail.
Operation Slow Down is the road safety campaign running over the October long weekend. Double demerits are in place for all speeding, seatbelt and motorcycle-helmet offences.
