Police arrest alleged Gold Coast ‘flasher’

Police have charged a man with exposing himself twice to a woman in Hope Island.

The 53-year-old woman was allegedly flashed by the man on consecutive mornings on May 20 and 21 as she walked along the water’s edge footpath off Trinity Avenue.

Police have now arrested a 61-year-old Hope Island man over the alleged incidents.

He has been charged with two counts of wilful exposure.

The man is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on August 19.

Police say investigations are continuing.
