Police bust hydroponic cannabis crop in Gold Coast home

A man has been charged with producing dangerous drugs after police uncovered an alleged hydroponic cannabis crop inside a Gold Coast home.

Police made the discovery after executing a search warrant on a property along Crisp Court in Miami last Friday.

“During the raid, officers allegedly located 13 mature cannabis plants, steroids, syringes, a bong, grinder, scissors, UV lamp, PH testing kits and scales,” Queensland Police said.

A 42-year-old Miami man was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of producing dangerous drugs and stealing.

He was also charged with possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, possessing utensils, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence and failing to properly dispose of a needle.

The man is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on November 24.
