Police bust learner motorcyclist doing 110km/h in a school zone

A LEARNER motorcyclist has been busted doing 110km/h in a 40km/h school zone in NSW.

Police stopped the rider shortly before 9.30am on Thursday after they detected him travelling at excessive speeds on Hindmarsh Street in Lismore.

The 18-year-old was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a negative reading.

His licence was suspended on the spot, and he was issued with a $2530 infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit in the school zone by more than 45km/h.
