POLICE are continuing to search for possible witnesses of the tragic car accident in Nerang on Saturday morning that claimed the lives of a young couple.
It’s understood the car was travelling along Price Street in Nerang when it veered off the road and collided with a tree, killing 26-year-old Ashleigh Mulder and her 27-year-old partner Jay Sullivan.
Police would like to speak to the driver of a vehicle similar to a Toyota Echo that was travelling south on Maudsland Road, Upper Coomera around midnight.

The vehicle is not believed to have been involved in the incident however police believe the driver may be able to assist with their investigation.
Police are asking for anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash to contact them via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
