Police calling for dashcam footage over Gold Coast road rage incident

Police are calling for help from the public as they continue to investigate an alleged road rage incident on the Gold Coast last month.

Two cars were travelling south on the M1 near Merrimac around 4.00 pm on August 13, when they started to drive dangerously and interact with each other.

The white Honda CRV and white Volkswagen Golf then turned onto Gooding Drive, where they then collided while travelling in the same direction.

The crash happened right near a petrol station, and around 400 metres past a fast-food restaurant.

Luckily, no one was injured in the incident, but both vehicles sustained damage.

Police are calling on anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
