Police desperately appeal after 7 firearms stolen from safe during break-in

Police are appealing for information after firearms and ammunition were stolen during a break-in in northern NSW yesterday.

Between 7.50am and 2pm (Tuesday 11 August 2015), a break and enter occurred at a home on Amaroo Drive, Moree.

Seven firearms were stolen from a gun safe, including:

– a Stirling 22 bolt action with Crown scope,

– a Lakefield 22 bolt action,

– a Birmingham small arms 243 bolt action with Nikon scope,

– a Ruger 22/250 bolt action with Nikon scope,

– a Stoeger 410 shot gun (single shot),

– a Stevens 223 bolt action with Savage scope,

– a Winchester 30/30 lever action; and,

– ammunition.

Police from Barwon Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Moree detectives are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who may have information that may assist them with their inquiries to come forward.
