Police reunite missing NSW boy with family

UPDATE| Police have confirmed a little boy, found wandering the streets of the Central Coast this morning, has been identified.

There was a desperate scramble to identify the missing boy, whose medical condition meant he was unable to provide clues about his identity to officers.

“A member of the community recognised the boy after viewing the image on the NSW Police Facebook page and contacted police,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“The boy will be reunited with his parents.

“Police would like to thank members of the public.”

EARLIER | POLICE are appealing for help to identify a little boy, found wandering the streets of the Central Coast this morning.

The boy, believed to be aged between six and 10, was found walking alone in Eclipse Street in Chittaway Bay by a member of the public around 7am on Thursday.

Officers searched the area but have been unable to locate his parents or carers.

NSW Police said the boy has a medical condition and has not been able to identify himself to officers or provide any clues about his identity or home address.
