A large-scale search, involving officers from Richmond PD, Police Rescue,  olAir, SES, Richmond Valley Council rangers, and NSW Surf Life Saving, spent Monday and Tuesday tirelessly searching for Ms Christie. However, there has so far been no sign of her.

NSW Police have confirmed Marine Area Command and police divers will now join the search, focusing on the area surrounding the Evans Head River.

Amber is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 160cm-165cm tall, with a medium build, golden brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing tights, a long sleeve grey jumper and a backpack.

Police are now urging anyone in the Evans Head area who may have dashcam footage or CCTV footage from Sunday afternoon and night to come forward.
