Police find $10 million worth of meth after pulling over driver for RBT

MORE than 20 kilos of Methylamphetamine worth just over $10 million has been seized after police stopped a driver for a random breath test in Balranald, NSW yesterday.

The 38-year-old South Australian man, who also had an 8-year-old boy travelling with him, was pulled over on McCabe Street just after 5pm on Monday.

Officers conducted a search of the man’s Holden ute when they came across the large drug haul in the rear tray.


Police say the drugs have an estimated potential street value of $10.4 million.

The man was arrested and taken to Balranald Police Station where he was charged with supply large commercial quantity of drugs and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear in Wentworth Local Court today.

The child is currently being cared for by a government agency.
