Police guard home destroyed by fire

Police are guarding a house in Loganholme this morning after it was destroyed by fire on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to the Danyenah St home around 2.00pm yesterday following reports of a fire in the quiet suburban street and locals claiming to have heard explosions.

A man, his wife and her brother were all the in home at the time but escaped serious injuries.


She was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

The home was extensively damaged by the blaze.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
