Police gunned down after responding to 911 call in the United States

TWO police officers have been gunned down in a shootout with a man in the United States.

The two officers came under fire while responding to reports of a man armed with a gun at a Gladstone Street address in Boston around 10:50pm local time on Wednesday.

One officer is in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries after being shot, quote, “multiple times”.


The second officer was shot, quote, “one or two times” and he is in a less serious condition.

Immediately following the shooting, police took to Twitter, warning residents to “shelter in place” while authorities searched the area for a suspect.

The “shelter in place” order was lifted around 30 minutes later after a suspect was “located”.

There are unconfirmed reports indicating the suspect was shot dead by police.
