Police hoping to identify two men over serious assault investigation

Police are calling for help to identify two men, as they investigate a serious assault in Burleigh Heads last month.

Two groups were involved in a physical altercation in an underground carpark along the Gold Coast Highway around 11.30pm on August 13.

During the fight, a 21-year-old Southport man was punched in the head, causing his to fall to the ground unconscious.

He was rushed to hospital but has since been released.

Police say the two groups were not know to each other, and are hoping to speak to two men depicted in the photo below.

They believe the pair may be able to assist with the investigation.
