Police hunt dashcam after shopping centre gutted by suspicious fire

Detectives investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a shopping centre near Logan at the weekend are appealing for anyone who may have been travelling through the area to come forward.

Just before 11.00pm, emergency crews were called to Carl Heck Boulevard at Windaroo following reports a shopping centre had been engulfed in flames.

It took fire crews around three hours to bring the blaze under control, with many of the shopping centre’s stores destroyed.

According to newscorp, it’s the second time in just two years the centre has gone up in flames.

A crime scene has been established as police continue to probe the cause of the inferno.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have been travelling around Windaroo and Mount Warren Park between 9.30pm and 11.30pm with dashcam footage to come forward.
