Police hunt driver after car smashes into Surfers tower

POLICE are hunting the driver of a car that smashed into a high rise tower on the Gold Coast.

It’s understood the driver fled the scene after losing control of their car and crashing into the Mantra Towers of Chevron building off Ferny Avenue shortly before 4pm.

Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured however the building has sustained some structural damage.

Police have saturated the area in search of the driver.
