Police hunt driver, passenger who fled serious crash at Logan

POLICE are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a nasty crash that seriously injured two people at Logan.

The two-car accident happened in the suburb of Browns Plains shortly before sunrise on Sunday.

Police said a car travelling along Waller Road was rammed from behind by a white sedan around 5.15am.

The impact forced the innocent motorist’s car off the road and into a power pole.

The male driver and a female passenger sustained serious injuries.

The woman is being treated for serious internal injuries, while the man sustained injuries to his eyes.

They were both taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital where they remain this afternoon.

Police said a second male passenger and the driver of the white sedan both fled the scene.

They are now seeking public assistance to locate the pair and the white sedan.

Police said the sedan is likely to have damage to the front driver’s side and headlight.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
