Police hunt gang after surf shop robbery

POLICE are appealing for information following an aggravated break, enter and steal incident at Salamander Bay this morning.

Four people were seen to enter a surf shop located in a shopping centre on Town Centre Circuit between 12:50am and 1:30am Wednesday morning.

It is alleged the offenders were armed with a jemmy bar, sledge hammer and torches.

After forcing entry through the back door of the shop the intruders got away taking cash and stock, including skateboards, clothing and watches.

It’s believed the four intruders were men, of thin build, and all were wearing hooded jumpers.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
