Police hunt heartless vandal after cars damaged, man injured by ‘large objects’

A MAN has been injured and three cars have been severely damaged after they were struck by a number of “large objects” in Moorooka this morning.

The shocking incident happened on Beaudesert Road, near Hamilton Road, between 5am and 5.30am.

“The occupants of the three vehicles were travelling inbound or north on Beaudesert Road, near the service station, when they were struck by a number of large objects,” Qld police said in a statement.

“As a result, the vehicles sustained significant damage to their front ends and windscreens.”

One driver was also taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Police are now desperately appealing for help to track down those responsible.

A man, described as being Caucasian and wearing a beanie, was seen to throw a number of objects around the time of the incident.

Police say he may have been in the middle of the median strip or on Beaudesert Road outside the school at the time.

“Throwing rocks onto a roadway or at vehicles is an offence and this sort of behaviour could have terrible consequences for any victims,” police said.
