Police hunt home invaders after brutal burglary

A MAN has lost three of his front teeth after chomping at the hand of a gun wielding intruder who stormed his Southport unit at the weekend.

It’s alleged two men invaded the Bauer Street unit just before 9pm on Sunday and threatened the 38-year-old occupant with a fake pistol.

Police said the victim bit the thumb of the intruder holding the weapon, causing him to drop the firearm.

During the altercation, the victim sustained facial injuries and three of his teeth were ripped out.

The duo stole the man’s wallet and phone before leaving the scene.

The armed offender has been described as roughly 175cm tall with a small build and olive skin complexion, wearing a dark blue hoody.

Police are appealing for any information in relation to any of the suspect persons or a silver 1999 Holden sedan which was seen driving away from the area with no headlights.
