UPDATE on SATURDAY: A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following a horror home invasion in Brisbane.
Marcus Justin Richardson, 34, was arrested over Tuesday morning’s attack last night after spending three days hiding from police.
The 34-year-old is accused of forcing his way inside a house on Todd Street at Taringa around 6.30am on Tuesday.

Once inside, Richardson then allegedly burst into a bedroom and attacked a 20-year-old man with a knife.
The victim was sleeping next to a woman at the time and was stabbed multiple times in the neck and upper body.
The woman and two children, aged 1 and 3, who were also inside the house at the time were not physically injured.
Richardson fled the scene immediately after the attack and, after spending three days on the run, was arrested yesterday afternoon.
He was found hiding in bushland near Indooroopilly.
The 34-year-old has since been charged with attempted murder, entering a dwelling with intent, possession of a knife, unlawful possession of a weapon and two counts of serious assault of police.
He appeared briefly in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning where he made no application for bail and was remanded in custody.
He’ll appear in court again in June.
FIRST on WEDNESDAY: A MAN has been stabbed multiple times in the neck during a terrifying home invasion in Brisbane.
Police said the victim was asleep in his Todd Street home at Taringa when a man forced his way inside shortly after 6.30am on Tuesday.
The intruder allegedly entered the 20-year-old man’s bedroom and stabbed him a number of times in the neck and upper body.
Police said the victim also sustained knife wounds to his hands as he tried to fight off the intruder who fled on foot immediately after the attack.
The victim was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he was treated for what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.
A 20-year-old woman who was sleeping in the same bed as the victim at the time of the attack and two young children, aged 1 and 3, were not physically injured.
Police have said they believe the attacker knew his victim.
Investigators have since released two images of a man they believe is responsible for the attack.
Marcus Richardson is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall with a thin build, brown hair (slightly balding) and blue eyes.
