Police hunt intruder after man repeatedly stabbed in horror home invasion

A MAN has been stabbed multiple times in the neck during a terrifying home invasion in Brisbane.

Police said the victim was asleep in his Todd Street home at Taringa when a man forced his way inside shortly after 6.30am on Tuesday.

The intruder allegedly entered the 20-year-old man’s bedroom and stabbed him a number of times in the neck and upper body.

Police said the victim also sustained knife wounds to his hands as he tried to fight off the intruder who fled on foot immediately after the attack.

The victim was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he was treated for what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.

A 20-year-old woman who was sleeping in the same bed as the victim at the time of the attack and two young children, aged 1 and 3, were not physically injured.

Police have said they believe the attacker knew his victim.

Investigators have since released two images of a man they believe is responsible for the attack.

Marcus Richardson is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall with a thin build, brown hair (slightly balding) and blue eyes.
