Police hunt man accused of robbing woman at Griffith University

POLICE are searching for a man who robbed a woman at Griffith University on the Gold Coast last Friday.

It’s understood the man crept up behind a female staff member at the Parklands Drive campus in Southport around 7.30pm and forcibly removed a lanyard with keys attached from around her neck.

Police said the man fled the scene on foot with the lanyard and keys.

Thankfully, the woman was not injured during the incident.

Police are now appealing for anyone who can help identify the man to come forward.

They have released a photo (above) of the man in the hope someone may recognise him.
