Police hunt man who robbed Gold Coast chemist of cash and methadone

POLICE are searching for a man who held up a Southport chemist on Saturday afternoon.

The man allegedly walked into the Marine Parade pharmacy around 5.15pm and threatened staff.

Police said the staff member complied and the man left the store with a stash of cash and bottle of methadone.

The male staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

Police have not provided a description of the man.
