Police on the hunt for man who stripped naked, exposed himself to woman walking her dog

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was terrorised by a stranger who stripped off his clothes and exposed himself in Newcastle last night.

Around 7.15pm, a 40-year-old woman was walking her dog along Stockton Beach, when she noticed an unknown man following her.

Police say the man allegedly took off his clothes and exposed himself before committing an act of indecency while continuing to walk towards the woman.

The woman quickly left the scene and found a witness nearby who contacted police.

As inquiries continue, officers would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a tanned complexion, about 30 to 35-years-old, of slim build, with short brown hair.

The man was seen wearing a high-visibility vest, bright-yellow board shorts and was carrying a yellow skateboard.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
