Police on the hunt for man after woman hit in the head with pool ball

Police are on the hunt for a man who may be able to assist with inquiries after a woman was hit in the head with a pool ball at Canley Vale.

About 4.20am on Saturday 24 September, police raced to a hotel on Canley Vale Road following reports a woman had been assaulted.

Officers were told a verbal argument took place between two women, which escalated into one of the women allegedly hurling a pool ball towards the other female, just missing her.


A short time later, a man is alleged to have thrown another pool ball at the woman, striking her in the head.

The 39-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment while the man and woman left the hotel.

Police are now looking for a man who may be able to assist. He is described as being Islander appearance with a large build, dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt with white sleeves.
