GANG violence has erupted in a Gold Coast surf shop, with a man savagely beaten on one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year.
A terrified shop assistant was caught in the middle of a brawl when four gang members — believed to be linked to the Gold Coast Brotherhood — trapped and attacked a rival in the surf shop in the heart of Burleigh Heads.
Speaking exclusively to the Bulletin, store assistant Stephanie — who asked that her last name be withheld — was working alone in the tiny shop on the Gold Coast Highway when a man and woman ran into the store and begged to hide inside about 10.30am on Easter Saturday.
