UPDATE: Police catch up with serial Gold Coast pervert

UPDATE 3:45PM | A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been charged after he allegedly filmed himself performing several lewd acts in playgrounds across the Gold Coast and posted the explicit content online.

It’s alleged the man had filmed himself performing the sickening acts in public areas, including a children’s playground in Arundel and a shopping centre in Helensvale, before he uploaded the footage to a porn website.

The Oxenford man was questioned by detectives earlier this morning but was initially released without charge.

He then attended Nerang Police Station this afternoon where he was formally charged with two counts committing indecent acts.

Officer in Charge of Coomera police station, Senior Sergeant Andrew Godbold yesterday said the disturbing images were mostlytaken during the dayand were “explicit in nature”

The 34-year-old Oxenford man will face court in two weeks time.

EARLIER: Police are on the hunt for a man who has been performing indecent acts in the Coomera and Southport areas.

The man has allegedly posted nude images of himself online, showing him performing the sickening acts in public areas including children’s playgrounds in Arundel and in the vicinity of a shopping centre in Helensvale.

Officer in Charge of Coomera police station, Senior Sergeant Andrew Godbold said the images mostly take place in daylight hours and are explicit in nature.

“This type of behaviour in public places is disturbing and unlawful and will not be tolerated. Police are very keen for any information that would lead to identifying this individual.” Senior Sergeant Godbold said.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a very pale complexion and slim build with dark brown hair and eyes.

Police are urging anyone that has any information about the man or the incidents to contact Crime Stoppers or their local police station.

He will face court in two weeks time.

UPDATE 11:27am: Police hunting a serial pervert in the Gold Coast’s northern suburbs have questioned a man about graphic nude images and videos shot in parks and playgrounds.

The 34-year-old was not arrested after being interviewed but may be spoken to again.

The man responsible for posting the photos and videos is believed to be in his 20’s.

In one video he meets up with an older man who he performs sex acts with in a public park.

Police say the flood of information from the community continues to pour in.

EARLIER 6:51am: Police are confident of catching a serial pervert who has been operating in the northern Gold Coast, after being flooded with tip-offs from the community.

Officers say thanks to the volume of information they’re hot on the trail of the man, believed to be in his 20’s.

The hunt will continue on Wednesday.
