Police on the hunt for serial thief targeting GC businesses

Police are hunting a serial thief targeting a number of businesses including dental practices and barber shops across the Gold Coast.

Detectives believe the same man has broken into four different businesses between August and November this year.

The first break in occurred at a barber shop on Via Roma, Isle of Capri on August 25.

The man is alleged to have forced his way into the shop around 10.02pm, taking off with cash.

The second burglary occurred at a restaurant also on Via Roma on September 4.

Police said the man broke into the business just after 12.30am, stealing cash.

On October 29, a dentist on Slatyer Avenue at Ashmore was broken into around 4.15am with petty cash stolen.

A similar burglary occurred at another dentist on Falconer Street, Southport at 6.50am.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about the man or the robberies to contact police.
